Ethiopia Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali’s reliance on Eritrea’s troops in the Tigray conflict is becoming clearer. Ethiopia’s army is stretched thin ahead of June’s election and Eritrean forces will stay in Tigray for the long haul.

Visited IDP camp & met with regional authorities & UN partners in Tigray, of Ethiopia who identified urgent needs in the region.

Despite ample evidence of atrocities in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, the UNSC will again discuss the crisis behind closed doors. It’s high time that the UN’s most powerful body end its paralysis & take concrete actions to deter future abuses.
