In Mesqan district 2015 E.C. The integrated soil and water protection flow development work has been officially started.
The integrated soil and water protection irrigation development work has officially started today in Meskan district.
The official declaration of irrigation development in the districts of Shershera and Michaelo Kebeles. Different parts of the society including woreda and kebele leaders were present on the development of the river flow.
In Meskan Woreda, the soil and water conservation development work was completed by separating 26 clean spills and completing preliminary work. All kebele of the woreda have now been officially renamed Shershera Mechmena Kebele.
The 35-day Soil and Water conservation development project will be built on 3560 hectares of land and more than 49 thousand people will participate.
The conservation of soil and water has contributed a lot to the increase of water in protecting the fertility of the land.
